Wow! Trinidad is beautiful and clean. After the poverty in all the Caribbean islands Trinidad is a breath of fresh air. We had a wonderful visit with the saints. 150 came to our fireside because they are so anxious to learn all they can. I sang a solo about family history. I am not a soloist when it comes to singing, but I did not have my violin and music is so powerful to invite the Spirit I just got brave. Many of the saints there are from India when they came as indentured servants after slavery was outlawed.
One of the miracles, at the airport on our return flight, was we met a sister that was from St. Croix. She got lost in the terminal trying to find her connecting flight and found us instead. She was going to see her first grandchild in New York and wanted to go to the temple there while she visited. She has never done the temple work for her mother and father, but as we talked she recognized why she had stumbled on to us in the airport. We gave her a family group sheet to fill out and told her how to do the work for her parents. After she got a short lesson from a couple of old missionaries - us - she was on her way to find her connecting flight clear on the other side of the terminal. Dad and I just looked at each other in amazement as she walked away. I think her ancestors wanted her to "get lost in the airport". It is kind of humbling to think that we are known on the other side. :)

What a story, that is awesome!
Wow, amazing how music can invite this spirit.. What a neat experience with the lady from st. croix. Makes you realize how important the work is, definitely not a coincidence.
